*10,000 Roman Soldiers martyred on Mount Ararat*
  ⚔   ⚔  ✝  ⚔   ⚔

*The Ten Thousand Martyrs was an entire Roman legion who, had all converted to Christianity, during the reign of the pagan Roman Emperor Diocletian❗*

Ordered to worship pagan idols, they all refused, and were marched up to the top of Mount Ararat, in modern Turkey, led by their commander Saint Acacius and then all were crucified in 303 AD.

🛑
*The number* _(10,000)_ *is not an exaggeration & is evident from Eusebius* _(Church History VIII.6),_ *Lactantius* _(De morte prosecut, xv)._

The veneration of the Ten Thousand Martyrs is found in Denmark, Sweden, Poland, France, Spain, and Portugal. Relics are claimed by the church of St. Vitus in Prague, by Vienne, Scutari in Sicily, Cuenca in Spain, Lisbon and Coimbra in Portugal.

🎯
_In 1511 A.D., Francesco Ottobon, a prior of the Venetian monastery of St Antonio di Castello, had a vision in which he saw himself at prayer in the monastery church. Suddenly, there was a great noise outside. The church doors opened. A multitude of men, carrying crosses, began to walk up the aisle in procession. At the main altar they knelt, and were blessed by a figure whom Ottobon identified as St Peter. They passed through, "two by two, resounding sweetly in hymns and songs"._ *Otto-bon recognised the stream of pilgrims in his vjsion as the 10,000 martyrs of Mount Ararat*❗
